Behaviour & Information Technology(BIT)라는 저널로부터 제가 reviewer요청을 받은 적이 있었습니다. 아래의 예문은 제가 작성한 comment인데, 투고된 manuscript이 워낙 잘 쓰여졌고 딱히 흠잡을 곳이 없는 논문이었습니다.
제가 결정한 심사판정은 accept with minor revision이었고, 저널 editor의 final decision 또한 accept with minor revision이었습니다.

The manuscript presents and discusses social network analysis in relation to ‘process model’ and ‘visualizing social media network’. The subject matter can be of quite interest to the readers in the field of social networking service, social media use or even human behavioral research.
The field of social network analysis is still at early stage and more information with regards to how an individual utilizes a tool for analyzing social networking (i.e., NodeXL) will help build our knowledge of the area.
The writing style is clear with almost zero grammatical errors.
The author(s) are to be congratulated on creative use of observation data. I find the results credible and the methodologies appropriate.
Although the methodologies adopted are detailed and results and conclusions reached seem to be important, they are useful as a ‘qualitative approach’ toward NodeXL efficiency studies.
Most importantly, there is no theoretical framework provided. The author(s) may wish to describe the rationale for ‘sense making process’ practice within a theoretical context. This framework plus an analysis of the research literature would then provide strong support for the discussion and conclusion outlined in the manuscript.
The organization of the manuscript should be addressed, particularly in the ‘Chapter 4. Findings’. A clearer presentation adhering to steps of the research process would assist the reader in understanding the method and findings of this important work.
I would recommend the manuscript for publication only after the above & following issues/comments have been addressed by the author(s).
