On the whole it has a good experimental design, with a well-founded methodology, and detailed reporting of results. However, although the quality of the writing is good and detailed and the studies seem sound, the progress in extending current understanding of these different representation formats is unclear. Perhaps the authors need to articulate more clearly in the introduction how it builds on the previous work mentioned, specify where these works are lacking and detail exactly what is new about the work that is being presented here. The authors should also do this in more depth in the discussion section, so that it is clear to the reader what is new about their findings.
